Hi there...
I've dabbled in photography since I was in elementary school. I always loved capturing people in moments they didn't expect to be captured. Laughing at a joke, looking out a window when they didn't think anyone was looking, even crying. I found that each picture I took formed a story, and that's what I fell in love with.
Years later, I am still finding joy in that process. I like showing the subject in their true nature. I can do poses and give them prompts, sure, but that's not what feeds me. I want to capture you for you, and that's what I strive to do in each and every photoshoot.
Back in 2018 I graduated from Mount Royal University with a bachelor's in Journalism. This program taught me a lot about the process of getting that story -- even if it was just in pictures. In my second last year I travelled to India for a field school and was so inspired both by the positivity of the people and the simple beauty that they shared with me through the lens. They were never shy. They weren't ashamed to be in front of the camera. In fact, many of them loved it! I think I fell in love with photography again, right there. It nourished me and gave me the courage to continue to photograph people in their own right.
After graduation I moved to BC, and started working for a wedding company that helped me expand both my editing, photography and people skills. I've learned a lot and fallen in love with the province -- and I've only explored a corner!
That's why I'm here. To explore. To learn from you. To capture you and yours, and hopefully share your story along the way.
